Policy Analyst

Anushka Kuruppu

As a Policy Analyst at Advocata Institute, he is responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative economic research, formulating evidence-based policy recommendations, and communicating key research findings through policy briefs, reports, op-eds, and public advocacy campaigns.

He holds a Master of Economics from Monash University along with a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Management from the University of London (LSE) with expertise in econometrics, policy evaluation, data analysis, and economic development. With years of experience across economic research, public policy analysis, and academic environments, he has worked in the think-tank and education sectors, developing expertise in macroeconomic policy reform, stakeholder engagement, and quantitative modeling.

During his internship at Advocata Institute, he authored key policy reform papers, conducted econometric modeling, and moderated national economic forums. Prior to entering full-time policy research, he gained valuable instructional and academic experience in teaching, mentoring students, and guiding academic development.

With a strong commitment to excellence, he continues to contribute to Advocata Institute’s mission of fostering sound public policy and sustainable economic growth.
