Finance Officer

Dinesh Shanmuganathan

As the Finance Officer at Advocata Institute, he is responsible for Data entry into Quick Book and prepare financial statements and perform bank and Ledger reconciliations, Petty cash management and raise patty cash vouchers and update petty Cash Register, files on one drive such as Net asset, Budget comparison, control account and assets files, Project fund reporting and support for HR and admin Related functions.

He holds an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) – UK from Association of Accounting Technicians of UK with 35 years of professional experience, have worked in accounting, developing expertise in Management and Financial Accounting.

Prior to joining Advocata Institute, he worked at The Maharaja Organization, Sri Lanka Red Cross Society , Christian Aid (UK) , and other NGOs , where he gained experience in Preparation of monthly and yearly financial statements, management Report and import costing for arriving unit cost, Prepare Annual Budgets, cash flow forecast and variance analysis report, Preparing Tax Returns (Corporate Tax, GST, Local Government tax) and remit tax to the Inland Revenue department, Partner Finance staff capacity buildings such as Planning and Budgeting, accounting records, Internal control and financial monitoring and notable achievement was archivers Award winner in The Maharaja Organization Ltd in 2004.
