Sri Lanka has encountered a serious economic crisis as a result of continuous unsustainable public finances; chronic fiscal deficits and deep indebtedness. The magnitude of which based on Advocata’s analysis is far more grave than any economic crisis Sri Lanka has experienced. Therefore, it is imperative that an orderly solution to counter the crisis be worked out and implemented with no further delay. This involves identifying key economic and structural reforms that can direct Sri Lanka towards a path of recovery and growth.

Taking the urgency of the situation into account, the Advocata Institute has organised a panel discussion to highlight the importance of economic reforms under the current circumstances. The event will facilitate creating a public discourse on building consensus on a program of economic recovery.

Join the online discussion on the 24th of November 2021 at 6.00 pm (IST). The event will be live-streamed on Advocata Institute's Facebook and YouTube Channel.
